The Westlake concert program comprises three ensembles — Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band — all performing challenging wind band literature. Membership is by individual audition in the fall based on Region Band audition material. All three ensembles rehearse in the spring semester and perform at the Winter Concert, Pre-UIL, UIL Contest, and Spring Concert, with annual tours across the United States. The Wind Ensemble, the department's premier ensemble, has performed at the Midwest Clinic, the American Bandmasters Association Convention, and was the first high school band invited to the WASBE Conference."
