Westlake will host the 44th Annual Westlake Marching Festival on Saturday, October 9, 2021.   This year's festival promises to be another great event with some excellent bands from all over Texas.

In its 40+ year history, the Chaparral Band has won the Texas State Honor Band three times. The Westlake High School Band is also one of only 14 bands world-wide to win the prestigious Sudler Shield and Sudler Flag, which are international awards given annually by the John Philip Sousa Foundation.

The Chaparral Band is under the direction of Mr. Kerry Taylor and assistant directors Mr. Taylor LaPrairie, Ms. Jana Robertson and Mr. Tyler Sammons.  The WHS marching band will perform its show titled Adrift.
