The Westlake Chap Band is already preparing for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year!  A return to full capacity football games, concert events, and band competitions – but most of all, the return to a sense of normal.  As the parent organization supporting these programs, Westlake Band Parents intends to help make this year be the best year ever for our Chap Band and EVE students and staff.

Westlake Band Parents, Inc. (WBP) is a volunteer booster organization whose sole purpose is to support Eanes ISD band student musicians and performers.  WBP serves both the Chap Band and the Elite Visual Ensemble (EVE), as well as the middle school band programs, and therefore provides services to approximately 260-300 students and their families each year at the high school. Collectively, these two programs constitute the largest student activity groups at Westlake High School. WBP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

WHY DONATE TO WBP?

WBP Fundraising has traditionally represented about a 30% contribution as a portion of the Chap Band Budget. We think this is great, but there is room to improve. WBP’s contribution helps our program provide students with quality music experiences that prepare them to compete at the highest levels. 

​

These can include: 

- Top-tier Drill Writers, Marching Music Composers, Show Design etc. 

- Marching, EVE, & Percussion Technicians to provide targeted instruction on the field 

- Instructors for Instrument Choirs & Ensembles

- Concerto Showcase Judges

- Region Music help sessions & other concert band clinicians

- Supplements expenses not covered by Fair Share fee...  We strive to keep the Fair Share fee as low as possible for our students.

 

WHAT IS THE WESTLAKE BAND PATRON PROGRAM?

After evaluating our past fundraising efforts, WBP has decided to launch a new fundraising program called the Westlake Band Patron Program that will include both family donations as well as corporate donations from local Westlake businesses. This fundraising effort will take the place of past WBP No-Hassle Fundraisers.

Westlake Band Patron Program Levels:

Benefactor - $2,500+

Conductor - $1,000 - $2,499

Drum Major - $500 - $999

Virtuoso - $250 - $499

Musician - $100 - $249

Supporter - $10 -$99

 

IS MY DONATION ELIGIBLE FOR CORPORATE MATCHING?

YES! Since Westlake Band Parents, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your gift to WBP may be doubled if your employer provides for corporate donation matching. When completing the donation form, check the Corporate Match box and specify your employer. Your transaction receipt will include WBP information that can be provided to your employer’s matching program.
